Minecraft is a sandbox survival game by Mojang and Microsoft in which you can generate 3D worlds and rebuild them to implement virtually any idea! The game offers unlimited opportunities for creativity and irrepressible multiplayer fun. Moreover, it’s available on all major gaming platforms, including all 8th-gen consoles, PC, Mac, Linux, smartphones, and tablets.

Graphics and Sound – 9/10

Minecraft has unique visuals that entirely consist of large blocks. The idea behind this system is simple but powerful. Each block represents a material or object and has unique physical properties. Besides, you can destroy and replace blocks if you want. As a result, you can rebuild the environment and implement any designs that come into your mind. If you want to boost the quality of visuals, enable ray-tracing technology (only for PC). The soundscape in the game is pretty generic, but the ambient background soundtrack makes the atmosphere relaxing and immersive.

Controls – 8/10

Minecraft is quite easy to play independently from your input type. For the first hour, you may feel that the character is a bit clumsy, but it doesn’t take too long to adjust. If you play on a smartphone, you can connect a USB or Bluetooth controller. PC and Mac owners can do the same thing to change the default input type.

Gameplay – 10/10

There are 4 main ways you can play Minecraft. First, you can generate worlds offline and try to survive against the dangerous AI-powered environment. Second, you can create and rebuild worlds without physical restrictions in the creative mode. Third, you can join public servers and have fun encountering live players from all over the world. Fourth, you can create your own servers and have fun playing with your friends.

Lasting Appeal – 10/10

Minecraft offers freedom, which means that you can play virtually any scenario that comes into your head. The game lets you get different gameplay experiences, depending on your favorite genres and mechanics. Just do what you want and enjoy it!
